The Junior Curling World Championships in 2018 (officially: World Junior Curling Championships in 2018 ) took place from 3rd to 10th of March in Aberdeen , Scotland , instead. The venue was Curl Aberdeen , a curling hall in the west of Aberdeen.
Canada (Skip Tyler Tardi ) won the men's world championship , the silver medal went to Scotland (Skip Ross Whyte ) and the bronze medal to Switzerland (Skip Jan Hess ). The German team with Skip Klaudius Harsch finished fifth. Canada (Skip Kaitlyn Jones ) won the women's category , Sweden (Skip Isabella Wranå ) came second and China (Skip Wang Zixin ) came third . The Swiss women with Skip Selina Witschonke came in seventh place. Germany was not qualified for women.
As with the men, next to the host country Scotland, the six best of the 2017 Junior World Cup ( Canada, Russia, Sweden, Switzerland, South Korea and USA; Scotland was first, but had already qualified as host) and the three best of the 2018 Junior B World Cup ( China, Norway and Turkey) qualified.
