Vélodrome de Bordeaux Lac stadium
The Vélodrome de Bordeaux Lac stadium is a multifunctional sports hall with a cycle track in Bordeaux, France .
The Vélodrome de Bordeaux Lac stadium was built between 1987 and 1989 to replace the 60-year-old cycle track in the Stade du Parc Lescure , which existed until 1986 . The hall's architect was Roger Taillibert , who also designed the stadium for the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal . The hall has a cycling track with a length of 250 meters and seats for 4500 spectators. Facilities for athletics events are also available in the interior .
UCI Track World Championships were held twice in the Vélodrome , in 1998 and 2006 . In 2007 the World Track Cycling Championships for the disabled were held here. In 2015 the Velodrome hosted the French track cycling championships .
