The Dornbirn City Archive is an institution for processing the history of the city of Dornbirn in the Austrian state of Vorarlberg . As a municipal facility, it is part of the Dornbirn city administration as a department. The city archives are located in the Lorenz-Rhomberg-Haus on the Dornbirn market square.

The city ​​archive has the task of viewing, collecting and archiving historical documents. The city archive experts are also responsible for identifying documents, photos and files. Today these perform essential work in sensitizing the people of Dornbirn to the history of their city.

Publications

The city archive also issues publications - such as the “History of the City of Dornbirn”, a three-part city history for the 100th anniversary of the city census in 2001.
The book series “Dornbirner Schriften”, in which hobby historians collaborate with the city archive of the Dedicate to exploring historical subjects.
