The Stadtsparkasse Eschweiler was a savings bank owned by the city of Eschweiler ( North Rhine-Westphalia ) from 1905 to 1942. On June 20, 1905, the Eschweiler city council decided to found a municipal savings bank based in the Kirschenhof in Eschweiler's old town , and on October 1, 1942, it merged Stadtsparkasse Eschweiler with the Kreissparkasse Aachen . With the merger of the district and the Stadtsparkasse on January 1, 1993, the former Eschweiler Stadtsparkasse becomes an implicit part of the new Sparkasse Aachen ; One consequence of this is that, according to Section 3 of Appendix 1 of the Aachen Act, the 1/8 portion of the dividend from the city of Eschweiler continues to be offset against the portion of the Aachen district.
