The company as regional bus services Southwest GmbH , also called SüdwestBus, is a subsidiary of Deutsche Bahn AG . Südwestbus has been operating city traffic in Pforzheim for 10 years since December 11, 2016 under the marketing name Pforzheimfahrebus. Südwestbus operates 17 lines (1-7, 9-11, 17, 41-43, 63, 741 & 742), with lines 741 & 742 being almost entirely operated by Klingel-Reisen GmbH, and Omnibusverkehr Engel GmbH also has 11 buses a couple of courses in city traffic. Südwestbus operates its own commercial transport, which means: Südwestbus finances everything from its own hand and gets by without subsidies. In 2015, Südwestbus won the award for city traffic, as self-commercial traffic has a higher priority in accordance with the Passenger Transport Act (PBefG) .

Stadtverkehr Pforzheim GmbH & Co. KG (SVP) was the operator of Pforzheimer Stadtverkehr until the end of 2016. The SVP used 14 lines (1-11, 41-42 & 63) and still owned the lines 720, 741 & 742, which were used by Engel (720) & Klingel (741/742). The city of Pforzheim was the owner of Stadtverkehr Pforzheim. From 2006 to 2014 Veolia Verkehr GmbH (since March 17, 2015 Transdev GmbH ) owned 51% & the city of Pforzheim only 49% of the city traffic.

The company transports around 23 million passengers every year. The city traffic is in the Verkehrsverbund Pforzheim-Enzkreis (VPE) .
