Verkehrsverbund Pforzheim-Enzkreis ( VPE ) is a tariff association from the Baden-Württemberg city ​​of Pforzheim and from the district of Enzkreis , founded on June 1, 1997 to ensure a uniform public transport tariff there. Around 400,000 people live in an area of ​​around 938 km², there are 40 train stations and around 1,400 bus stops. The annual traffic volume is approx. 12.5 million vehicle kilometers. 15 transport companies are involved in the network and in 2005 they carried more than 40 million passengers. The tariffs of the Karlsruher Verkehrsverbund also apply on the rail routes in the VPE.
