history
Early history
Ispringen was first mentioned in a document in 1272 as Urspringen. The earlier name indicates that the settlement probably took place in the headwaters of the Kämpfelbach. Dominican convent of Pforzheim had ruled the village since 1365 . After this was dissolved with the Reformation , the village belonged to the Margraves of Baden . The property at Ispringen was essentially divided into seven fiefdoms with a total of around 400 acres of arable land, meadows and vineyards. The largest of these courtyards, the Oberhof , is documented as belonging to the women's monastery as early as 1355. In the post-war years, the community focused on building and developing new residential areas. In the past few years it was also necessary to renovate the town center; the existing buildings were renovated, and streets were largely redesigned.
Religions
Around 1370 the parish church in Ispringen succeeded the church in the former village of Neidlingen. The Reformation was introduced in the middle of the 16th century by the Margraves of Baden . In the 19th century, the local pastor Georg Friedrich Haag made the place the focus of a revival movement that wanted to maintain the pure Lutheran faith against the will of the Evangelical Church in Baden . The Siloam community then split off from the regional church in 1855 and participated in the founding of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Baden . The community of Ispringen has about 6000 inhabitants, the Protestant parish has about 2200 (37%) inhabitants in Ispringen
19th and 20th centuries
Since 1806 was Ispringen part of the Grand Duchy of Baden and belonged to the upper office Pforzheim, since 1864 the district office Pforzheim and since 25 June 1939, since 1819 the district Pforzheim . In 1945 Ispringen became part of the American zone of occupation and thus belonged to the newly founded state of Württemberg-Baden , which was incorporated into the current state of Baden-Württemberg in 1952. In 1973 the district reform took place in Baden-Württemberg , when Ispringen became part of the newly created Enzkreis.
