City administration Bremerhaven (Leher barracks)
The Bremerhaven city administration is housed in two former barracks in the Bremerhaven district of Lehe . The facility consists of six “town houses”. The outbuildings include the sports hall, the workshop school and the union building.

The oldest building is Stadthaus 6 on Hinrich-Schmalfeldt-Straße, the former Kaiser-Wilhelm-Straße. It was built before the founding of the German Empire for the sailors' artillery that served Langlütjen and the Weserforts Brinkamahof . From 1936, the other blocks were built on the parade ground of these barracks. They border Stresemannstrasse in the east and Melchior-Schwoon-Strasse in the south. Only the high-rise building without any architectural connection between townhouses 1 and 2 disturbs the unity of the brick ensemble .

Exhibition building
Across from the sports hall and across from the local police authority is on Hinrich-Schmalfeld-Str. an exhibition building for clubs, e.g. B. for small animal breeding and poultry farming. The building, which was added at right angles, was demolished a few years ago. The area is now a green area between the two parking lots.
