Ramón Font y Farrés
Ramón Font y Farrés , in Catalan Ramon Font i Farrés , CMF (born February 20, 1874 in Rupit , Osona , Spain ; † August 16, 1947 ) was a Spanish religious and Roman Catholic bishop of Tarija in Bolivia.
Life
Ramón Font y Farrés joined the order of the Claretians and was ordained a priest on September 21, 1901 .
Pope Pius XI appointed him on November 17, 1924 as the first bishop of the newly established diocese of Tarija . The Apostolic Nuncio in Venezuela , Archbishop Filippo Cortesi , donated him episcopal ordination on March 15 of the following year ; Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Sucre , Luigi Francesco Pierini, OFM .
