The Stahlberg Foundation was founded in 2002 by Constantin Stahlberg . It is based in Hamburg . The foundation's focus is on promoting culture and youth.

Focus of the foundation

The focus of the foundation is:

  • M @ S, Musical at School: One-week musical projects for socially disadvantaged young people in and around Hamburg. Since 2007 projects in Hamburg, Kiel, Lübeck, Munich and at the KinderKulturFestival in North Rhine-Westphalia.
  • Kultur Gut Hasselburg : In 2010 the Stahlberg Foundation acquired the estate , which was first mentioned in a document in the 14th century. In 2013, games were resumed in the Reetscheune after its renovation. In addition, the Hasselburg cultural area is active in the manor house. The Kultur Gut Hasselburg is located in the immediate vicinity of Neustadt / Holstein.

Music events as part of the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival take place in the baroque hall of the manor house and in the large thatched concert barn.

In 2010 the foundation received the Hamburg Foundation Prize, which is awarded every two years by the Hamburg Senate and the Society Harmonie von 1789 eV, for outstanding foundation work for the good of the city.
