Stained Glass Reflections is a compilation album by the musician Scott McKenzie , who died in 2012, and was released on the Raven label in 2001 .
history
The album is subtitled The Antology 1960-1970 . In addition to his solo works, it also includes the phase when he was still part of the bands The Smoothies and The Journeymen , which he founded together with John Phillips . The title list is divided into four sections:
The Smothies (1960)
From the time with The Smothies , the track Ride, Ride, Ride is represented. It was the B-side of the 1960 single Lonely Boy And Pretty Girl .
The Journeymen (1961–1963)
From the time with The Journeymen , River Come Down is a track from the 1961 album. Someone To Talk My Troubles To comes from the Journeymen album New Directions in Folk Music from 1963.
Scott McKenzie (1965-1967)
His first early singles included Look in your Eyes , released in 1965 . In addition to the hit singles San Francisco (Be Sure to Wear Flowers in Your Hair) and Like An Old Time Movie , several pieces from the 1967 album The Voice of Scott McKenzie are also represented. Holy Man , published in 1968, is also represented here digitally for the first time.
Stained Glass Morning (1970)
It also includes all the tracks from the second album, Stained Glass Morning .
