Stan Rosenberg
Stanley Rosenberg (born November 12, 1949 in Revere , Massachusetts ) is an American politician of the Democratic Party .
Life
Rosenberg attended Revere High School and studied at the University of Massachusetts Amherst until 1977. From January 1986 to January 1991 he was an MP in the Massachusetts House of Representatives . Rosenberg has served as a Senator in the Massachusetts Senate since 1991 . On January 7, 2015, he was elected 93rd Senate President of Massachusetts. In the history of the Massachusetts Senate, Rosenberg is the first Jewish Senate president as well as the first gay Senate president. He is married and lives in Amherst with his husband .
