The funicular is a former operating railway in the former spa town of Kyselka in the Czech Republic , which was not used for passenger transport and was declared a cultural monument in 2013.

history

The funicular was one of the first cable cars in Austria-Hungary . The idea came from the entrepreneur Heinrich Mattoni . It was used to transport bottles from the König-Otto-Quelle , located on the mountain slope, and the dispatch house in the valley and existed as early as 1875. In the 1950s, part of the railway was dismantled. The rest is rusting to this day and only the concrete foundations remain as a whole. When the former spa park was cleared up in 2013, remains of the track were exposed. It consists of several closely spaced foundations. Next to it is a stone staircase.
