Stanisław Janusz Janowski (* 1940 in Sompolno , Poland , † 1993 in Szczecin ) was a Polish painter and graphic artist.

Life

Janowski attended the State Lyceum for Fine Arts (Poznań, Szczecin, Wrocław) in 1954–59. He studied at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń , Faculty of Fine Arts. He received his diploma with distinction in 1968 in studio graphics and art education. As a result, he worked artistically in graphics (also applied graphics), drawing and painting.

Exhibitions

He took part in numerous exhibitions and presentations of works by Szczecin artists in Poland and abroad. a. in Sweden, Denmark, Great Britain, Germany (Rostock, Berlin, Eisleben, Sanderhausen, Mansfeld), Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary.

Since 1969 he has shown individual exhibitions in Szczecin (including the anniversary exhibition in the National Museum in 1983), Warszawa, Wrocław, Bydgoszcz, Toruń, Kalisz, Gorzów, Zielona Góra, Katowice, Racibórz, and abroad, etc. a. in Spain (Madrid, La Coruña, Salamanca, Granada, Seville, Valencia, Málaga, Santander). This cycle of exhibitions of colored drawings was organized by the “Detursa” gallery in Madrid as part of the periodic artistic collaboration. There was a similar collaboration with the "Mansfield Gallery" in Eisleben .

Works

Numerous works can be found in state collections, museums, galleries and private collections in Poland and abroad, including Sweden, Denmark, Belgium, Germany, France, Spain and Brazil.
