Stanislaus von Chlebowski
Stanislaus von Chlebowski ( Polish Stanisław Chlebowski ; * 1835 ; † 1884 ) was a Polish history painter and court painter to Sultan Abdülaziz at the Ottoman court. He received his education in Saint Petersburg at the Russian Art Academy . In 1862 he was a student of Jean-Léon Gérôme for some time . From 1864 Chlebowski lived in Constantinople for twelve years at the invitation of the Sultan .
