Stanislav Šebek
Stanislav Šebek (born November 12, 1925 , † May 11, 1984 ) was a Czech composer and music teacher.
Blind from birth, Šebek attended an institute for blind children in Prague. There he already learned to play several musical instruments, and later he also had organ lessons. At the Prague Conservatory, where he was a student of Alois Perman and Jaroslav Křička , he passed the state examination in 1947. From 1948 he taught music in Prague, in 1949 he switched to the episcopal grammar school in Bohosudov, where he also worked as an organist. After its dissolution by the Czech government, he became a teacher at the Folk Music School (LŠU) in Chabařovice. Šebek composed two hundred mainly church music works, including several masses.
