Strong wind field

A strong wind field is an area that is affected by strong wind .

The proof of the existence of strong wind fields in the higher stratospheres has led to the definition of jet streams , which include all strong wind fields at altitude whose velocities are> 30 m s −1 .

On land, the largest strong wind field is on the Greenland ice sheet, another is in Patagonia, see also Greenland Ice Sheet
