content

The young princess Starla, her friends Fallon and Tamara are taught by the good magician Merlin and each has a crystal. Starla has the sun crystal, Fallon the moon crystal and Tamara the heart crystal. You are supposed to protect the magical land of Avalon from evil forces.

One day, the witch, Lady Kale, banishes Merlin with a dark crystal in a realm of wild magic and then wants to take possession of the crown jewels in order to gain control over Avalon. The three girls now have to stop Kale and free Merlin. Eventually they can beat Kale, but Merlin sacrifices himself and remains banned.

But while Starla and her friends are looking for a way to bring Merlin back, Lady Kale allies with the evil great magician Morgana . She once created the dark crystal and now wants to conquer Avalon together with Kale. Can the girls find the ancient mage crystals they need to defeat Kale and Morgana and get Merlin back in time? Eventually the balance of magic can be restored and Starla becomes Queen of Avalon.

The series was first broadcast on television by BKN in the US. Starla was also released on VHS and in 2006 on DVD . The series was translated into Spanish, French and Italian, among others, and ran in German on RTL Television . Repetitions followed on ORF 1 , RTL II and Fix & Foxi .
