Varnutė reservoirs
The Varnutė reservoirs dam the Varnaka in the Jonava Rajong municipality ( Kaunas district , Lithuania ). You are at the valley ( Joniniė slėnis ), at the Rimkai microrajon, at the Jonava stadium , Lakštingalos district . From 1982 to 1983 four reservoirs were formed here in the town of Jonava. The beach was set up, the towers installed for jumping into the water. There are bike paths. The “Maratonas” club organizes “Varnutės” races (1.9 km; 3.8 km; 10.3 km routes). Every year around 100 runners in some age groups take part. Sports fishing competitions have been held on the third reservoir since 2001 .
