The Varnaka ( Varnuvka , Varnutė ) is the right tributary of the Neris in the Jonava district . It rises near the village of Gudžioniai and flows along the Bazilioniai forest , then through the town of Jonava and the old town . In the east of the city there are four reservoirs Varnutė ( Jonavos I , II , III , IV ). Varnaka flows into the Neris at 38.1 km , at the end of the Sodų gatvė road . Located on the banks Samulevičiai settlement (museum), Jewish Cemetery Jonava , City Park Jonava , nursery-kindergarten "Lakštingalėlė" (in the district Lakštingalos ), Russian Santarvės Middle School. Around the Varnaka lies the Joninių slėnis (valley).
history
There used to be only five homesteads on the banks of the Varnaka, making up the village of Varnutė . From 1982 to 1983 four reservoirs were formed in the town of Jonava. The beach was set up, the towers installed for jumping into the water. The bridges and bathhouses were also built. From 2006 to 2008 Varnaka was cleaned by the administration of the Rajongemeinde according to the EU project ("Varnakos upelio baseino dalies, esančios Jonavos mieste, išvalymas ir sutvarkymas") worth 1.5 million litas (0.4 million euros ) and cared for. The eutrophication in the reservoirs was stopped .
