Staw Zbarski is a small pond in Warsaw in the Włochy district .

location

The pond is located on the left side of the Vistula River in Warsaw, in the Włochy district, in the Zbarż settlement, near Wirażowa Street. It is located near the S79 expressway at a junction that connects the S79 with Marynarska and Sasanki streets. It has an area of 0.2727 ha. According to another source it is 0.25 ha. The average depth is 0.37 m and the bank is 265 m long. The entire area of the small surrounding park Zieliec ze Stawem Zbarskim is 0.47 ha.

Staw Zbarski is probably the only natural pond that is located on the territory of the district. It lies in a subsidence of the terrain. In the past the former village of Zbarż was located in the area .

Flora and fauna

The following plant species were found in the area of the pond: Phragmites , Schoenoplectus lacustris , Typha latifolia , Ceratophyllum and Elodea canadensis . There are pastures near the pond . In a study from 2004 in the area of the pond and its surroundings, mallards were found .

Staw Zbarski was recultivated in 1998 .
