The connector type K is an electrical connector that is mainly used in Denmark .

construction

Outer conductor , neutral conductor and protective conductor are designed as contact pins of the plug. The protective conductor creates an asymmetrical construction, so that the plug is protected against polarity reversal . The contact pin for the protective contact is shorter, but still leading because it reaches the protective contact socket in the type K socket first.

Types C ( Euro plug ), E and F ( Schuko plug ) mechanically fit into a type K socket without an adapter. However, the E and F types are not connected, so they should not be used.
