The filled Steenspfuhl, striking the calamus population.

The Steenspfuhl is a small Söll in Schöneiche near Berlin . The Steenspfuhl is one of the smallest of a double-digit number in Schöneicher Söllen. It is located in a small depression on the corner of Wilhelm-Raabe-Straße and Straße Hohes Feld and at the same time on the eastern edge of the Schönebecker Heide . The pool is almost completely surrounded by closely spaced trees, especially willows , and undergrowth. Just a few years ago, the bank was much smaller, making the water much easier to access. Parts of the roots of several trees have been exposed by the water. Particularly noticeable on the eastern bank is the high population of sweet flag , which is rather unusual for the Schöneicher Sölle, and viper tongue growing on the slopes is part of the population. The water is an important spawning area for pond and crested newts . The ground is littered with many field stones, which gave the lake its name. The Söll generally falls dry in late spring.
