Stefan Andres Society
The Stefan Andres Society was founded in Schweich in 1979 and has around 350 members. It has had its headquarters in Niederprümer Hof in Schweich since 1983, where it manages the company's archive, a selection of which is shown in a permanent exhibition. There is also a reference library as well as office and work rooms.
The society collects and archives documents on the life and work of Stefan Andres , book editions of the works and secondary literature. It organizes readings, lectures, performances and recitations of dramatic works, as well as seminars, congresses and scientific conferences . She also conducts excursions and study trips “In the footsteps of Stefan Andres” in Germany and abroad.
Every three years it awards the “ Stefan Andres Prize of the City of Schweich for German Language Literature” and publishes the “Communications of the Stefan Andres Society” once a year.
