Stefan Barucha

Stefan Barucha (born April 3, 1977 in Hennigsdorf ) is a German bobsledder and sprinter.

He started bobsleigh in 1999 and pushed the four-man bobsleigh run by Christoph Langen and Matthias Höpfner . He also started for the Höpfner team together with his younger brother Andreas Barucha . His home club was SC Riesa . At the 2001 World Cup, he was sixth in a foursome, fourth in 2004 and seventh in 2005. At the European championship in 2005 he won bronze with the Höpfner team, in 2004 silver at the German championship, in 2005 bronze.

In the meantime, Barucha has ended his active bobsleigh career. He studied history and sport as a teacher and has been an athletic trainer at the handball club 1. VfL Potsdam since 2011 .
