Andreas Barucha (born April 2, 1979 in Potsdam ) is a German bobsleigh driver .

Andreas Barucha is a sports soldier in the sports promotion group of the Bundeswehr and starts for the BRC Riesa . The Potsdam native has been an active bobsleigh athlete since 1999. He began his career at SC Oberbärenburg, where he learned the bobsleigh 1x1 as a pusher in Andreas Zschocke's bobsled team. In 2000 Barucha moved to Matthias Höpfner's team . With this Barucha was eighth in a foursome at the 2003 World Championships, fourth in 2004 and seventh in 2005. At the European Championships, the Höpfner team won the bronze medal in the 2004/05 season. At the Junior World Championships in 2001 he won bronze, in 2002 the title. In 2003 he won the title at the German four-man championship, in 2004 and 2006 the runner-up title. In 2007, the pusher then moved to the bobsleigh team of René Spies who, however, ended his career shortly before the start of the season due to injuries. Barucha then moved to Riesa, where he has since strengthened Thomas Florschütz's team . His brother Stefan Barucha was also an active bobsledder until 2006, but had to end his career due to health problems.
