Stefan Hemmerich († January 1944) was a German football player .

Career

The striker began his career at Eintracht Frankfurt , with which he advanced to the semi-finals of the German championship finals in 1933 , where the end came against the eventual title holder Fortuna Düsseldorf . From 1933 Hemmerich played with Eintracht in the newly created Gauliga Südwest . In October 1933 he moved to Arminia Bielefeld in the Gauliga Westfalen . The Arminia was relegated at the end of the season and played in the second-rate district league for the Bielefeld until 1936 before he returned to Eintracht Frankfurt. By 1938 Hemmerich played 14 times in the Gauliga and scored six goals.

In 1938 Hemmerich moved to BSG IG Farben Frankfurt , the company sports club of the chemical company I.G. Farben and returned to Eintracht as a guest player from 1940 to 1943. During this time he came on another twelve missions in the Gauliga. Hemmerich died in January 1944.
