Stefan Kehrein

Stefan Kehrein (* 1967 ) is a German theoretical physicist . Since 2011 he has been a professor at the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen .

Life

Kehrein studied physics at the Universities of Kaiserslautern and Heidelberg as well as at Imperial College London and received his doctorate from Heidelberg University in 1994. He then worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Augsburg and in the USA at Rutgers University and Harvard University . In 2001 he completed his habilitation at the University of Augsburg and in 2005 was appointed to a professorship for theoretical physics at the Ludwig Maximilians University . In 2011 he accepted a position at the University of Göttingen.

research

Stefan Kehrein's research focuses on theoretical solid state physics , in particular on the behavior of quantum many-particle systems in non-equilibrium .
