Stefan Kupfernagel (born July 16, 1977 in Grevesmühlen ) is a former German cyclist who competed in races on the road , on a mountain bike and cross-country .

Athletic career

In 1998, Stefan Kupfernagel became German U23 cross-country champion. From 2000 to 2005 he was active as a cyclist in the elite and in various disciplines. In 2004 he finished second in the Lower Saxony Tour , third in the Herning Grand Prix and fourth in the Sparkassen Giro Bochum . After a serious training accident in August 2005, he had to end his cycling career.

Private

Stefan Kupfernagel is the younger brother of the multiple cyclo-cross world champion Hanka Kupfernagel .
