Stefan Mücke (football player)

Stefan Mücke (born April 7,  1969 ) is a former German football player .

career

In 1987, Mücke moved from the youth of the Berlin Adler to the club's men's team. With the eagles, the player used in the offensive line  won the German championship in 1987, 1989, 1990, 1991 and 2004 and in 2008 the European EFAF Cup competition . Also in 1994 he was in the final of the German championship with Berlin, but lost there as well as in the Eurobowl in  1991.

Mücke is the only German football player to become German champions in the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s. After relegation from the top German division in the meantime, Mücke returned to the Bundesliga in 2001 with the Adler as champions of the second division. Several times he was appointed to the German national team, but did not play an international match, as the scheduled games were ultimately not played. At the end of August 2008, Mücke retired as a football player at the age of 39, and in honor of the Eagles, the number 53 on his back is no longer given.

Mücke was already involved in the club's work as deputy chairman of the Berlin Adler while he was playing, and he initially held this position between 1997 and 2012. From March 2015 to November 2019 he was President of Adler and then again Deputy Chairman.
