Stefan Soltek

Stefan Eugen Soltek (born January 2, 1956 in Cologne ) is a German art historian and museum director.

Life

Stefan Soltek studied art history, archeology and law in Bonn and Cologne. He received his doctorate in 1987 in Bonn with a dissertation on the Romance font in Freckenhorst . Soltek volunteered at various museums. At the Museum of Applied Arts in Frankfurt he curated the Linel collection for book art and ornament engraving for a time . In 2002 he was appointed director of the Klingspor Museum for Book Art in Offenbach am Main . Soltek held a large number of exhibitions there and published exhibition guides and articles in specialist journals.
