Stefi Ákos

Stefi Ákos , née Stefánia Szűcs (born April 1, 1919 , † February 21, 2005 in Budapest ), was a Hungarian singer.

Life

Stefi Ákos graduated from the Music Academy as a singer with distinction. It was very popular in Hungary in the 1950s and 1960s. Her preferred genre was dance music , some pieces with Latin American rhythms . She worked for a long time with the Magyar Rádió Tánczenekara (Hungarian Radio Dance Orchestra). She also worked as a singing teacher. One of her greatest successes is the piece Mariguana Cha-Cha-Cha .

reception

Her recording Mariguana Cha-Cha-Cha was used several times as a template for a remix , for example by the Hungarian group Anima Sound System in 1999 and can also be found on a CD by the group Mo 'Horizons .
