Stein in the Fricktal

Stein im Fricktal is the name of a merger project that failed in November 2015 between the communities of Stein , Mumpf , Obermumpf and Schupfart in the canton of Aargau, Switzerland.

While the voters of the municipalities Mumpf, Obermumpf and Schupfart clearly approved the merger at the respective municipal assemblies, a strong majority in Stein - 81 for, 220 against - spoke out against the merger.
