The Steinane (Norwegian for stones ) are two small islands off the Ingrid Christensen coast of the East Antarctic Princess Elisabeth Land . They are located 13 km southeast of the Søstrene archipelago in the eastern part of the Publications Ice Shelf in Prydz Bay .
Norwegian cartographers, who also named them, mapped them using aerial photographs of the Lars Christensen expedition in 1936/37 .
