Stone chest from Deerpark South
The stone box of Deerpark South is located in the townland Deerpark South ( Irish Páirc na bhFianna Theas ), north of the parking lot of Craggaunowen in County Clare in Ireland .
The stone box is located in a wooded area on a steep southern slope. The box with an indefinable orientation consists of a large plate 2.5 m long, 1.5 m wide and 0.65 m thick, which is supported by two small boulders in the east and rests on a small hill in the west. The unenclosed megalithic complex , under which there is a cavity, could also be the remainder of a wedge tomb .
