The stone box from L'Islet, only discovered in 1912 and not marked on maps, is located on the Sandy Hook housing estate in the L'Islet district of Saint Sampson , near Saint Peter Port on the Channel Island of Guernsey . It is the only (surviving) stone box with a “cist-in-circle” arrangement on Guernsey and one of only two in the Channel Islands.

A stone box stands in the middle of a stone circle , followed by four small circles, each with a small stone box in each of the circles. There could have been more monuments in this place, especially since a dolmen in the north was destroyed.

The excavation was viewed with displeasure by the locals. A series of raids resulted in the assassination of Robert of Les Canus. The Reverent GE Lee, an archaeologist involved in the excavation , also died suddenly. On the day of his death, The Star newspaper published an article about the murder that fueled speculation that an evil spirit from the grave was involved.

No burials were found, which was not to be expected due to the acidity of the soil.

The gallery grave of Delancey is located in a park in Saint Sampson.
