The stone circle of Ballynakill ( Irish Baile na Cille , after the townland also Cartron South , Irish An Cartrún Theas called) is north of Ballin Lough in the south of County Galway in Ireland .

The small stone circle with 19 preserved stones (out of 24) has a diameter of about 5 m and lies on the northeastern spur of the Knockdrumore Hills. The 0.4 to 1.2 m high stones (five of which are on the ground) are aligned radially. They correspond to some stone circles in County Cork . Within the circle there is a small orthostat a little off-center in the southwest. A young ash tree grows in the southeastern border of the district.
