The Bentstreek stone circle (also called Der Hunt ) is a prehistoric stone circle near Bentstreek , a district of Friedeburg in the Wittmund district , Lower Saxony .

location

The stone circle is located northwest of Bentstreek at the confluence of the Hunter Weg in the Dreibückenweg.

description

The circle consists of six upright, rounded stones. In the middle is a much larger, columnar stone that ends in a point. No information is available on the material of the stones. The central stone has a height of 1.5  m , a width of 0.9 m and a thickness of 0.55 m. One of the outer stones has a height of 0.9  m , a width of 0.7 m and a thickness of 0.46 m. The stone circle was reconstructed in 1978.
