The stone circle of Castle Howe Scar is a Bronze Age stone circle east of Shap in Cumbria in England . He stands on land that slopes gently west to the Lowther valley.

Castlehowe Scar is an oval circle, 5.0 to 7.0 meters in diameter, made of chunky granite stones that either belong to a small stone circle or are the curbs of a ring cairn that has been stripped of its smaller cairn stones . The ten remaining stones vary in size. They are reminiscent of the districts of Little Meg near Langwathby (Cumbria) and Kemp Howe near the village of Shag (Cumbria) , which was cut by a railway line.

Nearby are the Castlehowe Scar Stone Line , the Thunder Stone and the Oddendale Stone Circle .
