Inchireagh stone circle

The stone circle of Inchireagh is located in the townland Inchireagh ( Irish An Inse Riabhach ) between Kinrath and Derrynacaragh, northwest of Dunmanway in County Cork in Ireland .

The five-stone circle ( English Five-stone Circle ) lies in a pasture near the headwaters of the Bandon. It's complete, but the northern entrance stone and two other stones have fallen inward. The inside is filled with small field stones. The imperfect stone circle has five upright stones and one fallen, about three feet in diameter. The lying stone is in the west is 45 centimeters high, 75 centimeters wide and 33 centimeters thick. The largest stone is on the south side and is 95 centimeters high, 65 centimeters wide and 55 centimeters thick. All other large stones in the circle are 80-85 centimeters high. The stone in the northeast leans against the stone opposite the one lying down.
