Mount Valkyrie is a mountain with a summit of dolerite in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Asgard Range of the Transantarctic Mountains, it rises from the south face of the Wright Valley between the Bartley and Meserve glaciers .
Scientists in a campaign run by Victoria University's Antarctic Expeditions from 1958 to 1959 named it after the Valkyrie from Norse mythology .
