Row of stones on the Champ de la Justice

Of the rows of stones on the Champ de la Justice ( French Alignements du Champ de la Justice ) there is only one comparatively low row of stones . They were located north of Autun in the north of the Saône-et-Loire department in France .

The rows of stones were discovered in 1872 along with many prehistoric objects and date from the middle Neolithic . Although it was straightened by the pharmacist Paul Jean Rigollot (1810–1873), only five of the 30 menhirs remained in a hedge, including one that had fallen over. Three menhirs have been classified as Monument historique since 1921 .
