Stone bowl from Ørslev
The stone bowl from Ørslev is an older bowl used as a baptismal font ( Danish: Døbefonten ), which is in the church of Ørslev near Ejby on the Danish island of Fyn .
In the Viking Age it served as a large kettle for food preparation. Bowls or kettles of this size were precious and popular with the Vikings. It is a specimen made of soapstone from Norway .
