La Boule - Stèle Saint-Michel

The Louargat stele is located east of the D31 road, north of Louargat and west of Guingamp in the Côtes-d'Armor department in Brittany in France .

The spherical Gallic stele La Boule - Stèle Saint-Michel is dated to the Iron Age (500 to 400 BC - early Latène period ). The granite stele, about 2.0 meters wide and 1.5 meters high, is part of the pagan cult.

Legend has it that the bullet was launched by Saint Michel from the summit of the 302 m high Méné-bré, who wanted to hunt or kill the devil who was hiding in the village. The bowls on the stone are said to be Saint Michel's fingerprint.

The menhirs of Pergat

The Pergat menhirs can also be found in Louargat. The two menhirs were erected a few meters apart in the valley floor.
