The ship was en route from Fujairah to al-Jubail , Saudi Arabia. The reason given was the collision with a fishing boat. The British government demands his immediate release. On September 22, 2019, the CEO of Stena Bulk announced that the tanker and the 23 crew members would be released by the Iranian leadership.
