The building at Stendaler Straße 1 is a listed residential building in the town of Haldensleben in Saxony-Anhalt .

It is located north of the market on the west side of Stendaler Straße in the area where the market crosses into Stendaler Straße.

Architecture and history

The two-storey building was built at the end of the 17th century after a city fire. It is similar to the listed building at Stendaler Straße 3 . The building, reminiscent of a farmhouse, is built in half-timbered construction on the upper floor , whereby the half-timbered structure is simply executed without decorative forms. Changes were made in many structural details. A renovation took place at the beginning of the 21st century. The adjacent development to the northeast was demolished at the beginning of the 21st century.

In the monument register for Haldensleben , the residential building is registered as a monument under registration number 094 30165 .

The building is considered to be significant in terms of urban development.
