Georg Graf von Lehndorff badge

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Georg-Graf-von-Lehndorff badge has been used since 1998 to award horse landlords (focus on “horse keeping and service” or “breeding”) for particularly good performance. It is named after Georg von Lehndorff (1833–1914), the chief stables at the Graditz stud. Horse innkeepers (focus on “horse keeping and service” or “breeding”) with an average grade of 2.09 and better receive the bronze award. Horse management masters in the sub-area “breeding and husbandry”, who pass their master craftsman examination with an average of 2.09 and better, receive silver. It is awarded by the German Equestrian Association (FN) in Warendorf . Every year around 50 particularly successful graduates are honored nationwide. The award has thus developed into one of the most important awards in the horse professions in recent years.

The FN honorary plaque for professional training is an award from the German Equestrian Association (FN) for horse landlords (focus on "horse keeping and service") who have not qualified for the award of the Georg Graf von Lehndorff plaque, but who have completed their training have completed the overall grade “good” (2.49). This award is also presented once a year.

The Stensbeck plaque is named after the riding master Oskar Maria Stensbeck (1858–1939) and is awarded by the German Equestrian Association (FN). Oskar Maria Stensbeck was one of the most famous trainers in Germany in his day. Since 1983, the Stensbeck bronze plaque has been awarded to all horse landlords (focus on “classic riding training”) who have completed their examination with an average grade of 2.49 and better. Similarly, horse management masters (focus on "classic riding training") receive the Stensbeck badge in silver, whereby the practical and theoretical part of the examination (parts I and II) must be completed with an overall rating of at least "good" (= 2.49) and the overall average of all four sub-areas of the final examination must be at least "satisfactory" (= 3.49). Alongside the Georg Graf von Lehndorff badge, the Stensbeck award is the second important award in the horse professions. It is also awarded to around 50 particularly successful graduates nationwide in Warendorf every year. Since 2012, the Stensbeck plaque in gold has also been awarded for the life's work of an instructor. Prize winners so far have been the Augustdorf riding instructor Hans-Georg Gerlach (2012), Heinz Lammers (2013) from Datteln, Wilfried Gehrmann (2014) from Warendorf and the state stud manager in Saxony-Anhalt, Siegmund Hintsche (2015).
