Stephan Sarek (born September 18, 1957 in Berlin ) is a German writer and firefighter .

Life

After his commercial apprenticeship, Stephan Sarek worked as a landscape gardener, paramedic, marine radio operator and extras in films and TV series. He lives in Berlin and works full-time as a civil servant in the Berlin fire department.

Sarek is the author of novels and short stories, some of which have also been published in audio book anthologies. In 2011, he won third prize in the 50+ age group at the Holzhäuser Heckethaler literary competition .
