Stephanie Kaspersky

Stephanie Kasperski (born January 23, 1987 ) is a German lifeguard .

Kasperski joined the Hessian police service as a police trainee and now lives as a police officer in Wiesbaden. She became interested in swimming at an early age, especially in rescue services, and was therefore committed to lifeguarding.

Sporting successes

She soon took part in sports competitions and was one of the top lifeguards athletes. She became German champion three times between 2005 and 2014 and was part of the national team for 10 years.

In 2004 and 2005 she won 4x gold, 2x silver and 2x bronze in the individual races at the Junior European Championships, and from then on established herself in the national lifeguard team.

At the age of 17, she qualified for the World Games (Olympic Games for non-Olympic sports) in Duisburg in 2005. Here she won silver in the relay all-around competition. In 2009 she again qualified for the World Games in Taiwan. In the individual she swam over 50 m saving a doll to 4th place. In the relay's all-around competition she won the World Games with Aline Hundt, Julia Schatz, Stefanie Schoder, Katrin Altmann and Fabienne Göller.

At the 2013 World Games in Cali (Colombia) she won the gold medal in the 4 x 25 m puppet relay with Laura Ernicke, Anke Palm and Julia Schatz . She also won a bronze medal with the 4 x 50 m harness rescue relay . For these sporting achievements, she was awarded the Silver Laurel Leaf on October 25, 2013 by Federal President Joachim Gauck .

With her home club, the DLRG Halle-Saalekreis, she won the bronze medal of the Club World Championships in 2012 and 2014 and is herself 2014 Club World Champion.

In swimming, she has held the German record for 4 × 50 m butterfly with SC Wiesbaden since 2009 (Beatrix Eisel, Stephanie Kasperski, Lisa Heintzmann, Jenny Mensing).
