Julia Schatz (* 1986 ) is a German lifeguard.

Life

Julia Schatz was born in 1986 in the Saale district of Halle. She grew up in Berlin and graduated from high school in 2005. Afterwards she was active in the sports promotion group of the Bundeswehr for two years. She is a civilian police officer and studied sports science . As a member of the German Life Rescue Society (DLRG), she was a. a train to be a lifeguard.

Athletic performance

As part of police sports, she took part in national and international competitions as a lifeguard. So she won the DLRG Cup and won the women's singles three times in a row (2010, 2011 and 2012). However, she achieved her greatest successes in international competitions. She was third at the 2008 World Championships and second at the 2010 World Championships. She was also the overall winner of the 2009 World Games with her police colleagues Laura Ernicke , Stephanie Kasperski and Anke Palm .

For her athletic achievements, she and her colleagues Emike, Kasperski and Palm were awarded the Silver Laurel Leaf on March 1, 2013 .
